Senior athlete from Highland Prep, Kohen Hill has signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this fall. The student-athlete was joined in the school's Fab Lab by administrators, coaches, family members, and students for his athletic signing event. During the event, the official letter of intent was signed, his head coach gave a heartfelt speech, and Hill signed the first basketball memorabilia for the school's hall of fame. "I'm really excited to have another four years at basketball. I know not a lot of kids from the high school-level get a chance to do this, and I feel very appreciative and blessed," Hill said.
When asked about why he chose Embry-Riddle, Hill shared, "I decided on Embry-Riddle because basketball is ultimately not everything. Embry provides the best future for me and I know any degree from there will be valuable. Hill continued, "It's similar to when I made my decision to go to Highland Prep. I chose Highland Prep to get me to the college of my choice and that's exactly what they have helped provide for me."
Hill has proved to be an extremely valuable player with his long list of reputable awards and recognitions from his four years at Highland Prep. He received Region Player of the Year this year, All-Conference 1st Team and All-Region 1st team the past two years, and Region Defensive Player of the Year last year. He credits his dad for always installing an incredible work ethic in him from even his early years in basketball.
